ANNIVERSARY 90 YEARS EST. 1936

Our Story

Four generations on the same country

Since 1936 the Drynan family has bred and raised cattle at Gallanani, near Esk. Ninety years on, we still do it the same way, and now you can order it direct.

Our farm

The country behind every box

Just outside Esk sits Gallanani, the country the Drynan family have worked for four generations. They have looked after this land as much as it has looked after them, raising honest beef and leaving the place better for whoever farms it next.

How they are raised

Naturally raised, hormone-free

Gallanani is home to naturally raised Charolais and Charbray cattle.

No hormones, no shortcuts. The herd grazes rotated pasture and multi-species crops, the way that keeps both the cattle and the soil healthy. That care is what you taste: clean, nutrient-dense beef raised the honest way, for families who want to know exactly what they are feeding their own.

Low-stress handling

Still mustered on horseback

We still work our cattle the old way, on horseback.

Quiet, low-stress handling keeps the herd calm. Moving cattle on horseback lets us read them and work them gently, the way good stockmen always have. Calm cattle are healthier cattle, and that ease carries all the way through to the beef.

Independently verified

You do not have to take our word for it

Esk Beef is independently verified by Nutrition Verified.

A third party checks how the beef is raised and traced. Every box carries a code you can scan to trace the beef back to this farm. You deal with the family who raised it. That is the difference.
