A taste of the farm

Your first look at the country

Ben walks the group out to meet the herd and across the home paddocks, and shows you how a working cattle farm comes together. A short, easy visit, and a great first look at where your beef begins.

What is included

The hour on the farm

Meet the herd up close with Ben.

A walk across the home paddocks.

See how a working Brisbane Valley cattle farm runs day to day.

A first look at how your beef is raised.

Out with Ben

Meet the herd

Ben still works the cattle the old way. He will walk you out to the cattle, talk you through the herd, and show you the quiet, low-stress way good stockmen have always done it.

Before you come

Good to know

Where

Gallanani, near Esk in the Brisbane Valley. Approx ninety minutes from Brisbane. Address sent on booking.

How long

About an hour, easy on the legs. A short, relaxed visit.

The little ones

Groups of four to ten. Children are welcome and they love it. Tell us about your group when you book.

What to bring

Closed-in shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Dress for the paddock and the weather.

Access & mobility

It is a short, gentle visit, but still a working farm with uneven, natural ground underfoot and a little getting in and out of vehicles. Older guests are very welcome and we keep the pace easy, though the farm is not wheelchair accessible. If anyone has mobility, balance or health concerns, talk to us before you book and we will make it work.

Safety waiver

This is a working farm, so everyone signs a short safety waiver on arrival, before any farm activity. A parent or guardian signs for under-18s. Wear enclosed shoes and let us know about any medical conditions or allergies when you book.
